It’s a working solution to all such worries.It ensures safety, security, and yet provides financial freedom to kids in a CONTROLLED manner- just as the parents and the institute would like.

YPay card is a reloadable PIN based loyalty card. It is a closed user group card that is accepted at YPay Merchant/Patner outlets.

The YPay card is dispatched in an inactive mode. The card must be activated before usage which can be done by following some simple instructions mentioned in the welcome kit that you will receive along with the card.

Activate your card online by visiting the card activation process in YPay Android/IOS App. To Activate the card follow the instructions:

  • Download YPay application from Playstore/App Store.
  • Open your YPay application
  • Go to “My Card”
  • Click on ‘Activation Card’
  • Send OTP on your registered mobile number
  • Verify the OTP
  • YPay card is activated.

Yes, the YPay smart card is a PIN-based card. You can generate a PIN on your own using the YPay app. You can set universal PIN for both POS and marketplace or you can set different PIN for both.

Yes, you will need to memorise the card PIN, as you will need to enter this PIN when making a purchase transaction.

Yes, you will receive SMS alerts from YPay for every purchase done by your kids on your registered number. You can also update in profile section on YPay app.

No charges are levied to use the services of the YPay card to the cardholder. However, additional charges might be levied in case of below circumstances:

Card Replacement Fee: ₹100/- for lost/ misplaced cards. Replacements due to technical issues are free of cost on a case to case basis

The YPay card can be used to purchase food(campus canteen), books, dresses, stationary and at other YPay-affiliated merchant outlets.

No. As per law, the card can only be used to spend only at YPay-affiliated merchant outlets.

RBI guidelines specify capturing and validating consumer information for certain value issued on prepaid cards. At the time of activating the card YPay obtains KYC details – minimum details (mandatory) and complete KYC (optional) of the consumer.

  • If user provided minimum details the following rules apply:
    • Balance on Card (at any point) should be ≤ ₹10,000*
    • Cumulative credits per month should be ≤ ₹10,000*
    • Cumulative of debits per month ≤ ₹10,000*
    • Cumulative load per FY ≤ ₹1,00,000*

You can change the card PIN via the YPay app available on your smartphone.

You can generate a new card PIN using the YPay app on your smartphone.

Every time your kid make a purchase, you will receive an email/SMS notification stating the updated card balance. You can also view card balance on the YPay app.

Your YPay card is secured from 4 digit PIN. To ensure that the card is not misused, do not share the PIN and do not store the Card PIN and the card together. If your kid have lost the card, you can block/unblock the card in one click through YPay app.

On loss of the card, you can easily block your card using the YPay app in just a click. Open your YPay app, go to ‘MY Card’, click on ‘Block Card’ and turn on the ‘Block’ button to prevent transactions on your kids card. The lost card will be blocked and the available amount would be issued to the cardholder in a replacement card only after the cardholder requests for a replacement card. You can raise a request for the replacement card.
